Super fun and satisfying! Immediately got me hooked from the very first run.

If I had to give any feedback, it'd be that that some of the sound effects are way too highpitched/loud. It also took me a bit of a while before I died, so there isn't much initial challenge imo. A bit more interesting sound design, spruced up UI elements, glowy special effects and camera movement and you'd legit have a $5 killer steam gem on your hands!

Steventus responds:

Hearing this from you is a big motivating factor from me! Always looked up to your works!

The (lack of a) challenge in the game was, in hindsight, do kill the game I agree. I did have some ideas in mind but was afraid of extending this small post-jam project way longer than I wanted to so I simply tweaked obstacles as is.

I had never thought of it as a $5 game though but that is a big compliment! Thank you!

this is amazing

Balloonshroom responds:

Thanks.

It definitely needs some QoL, visual fidelity and some DELICIOUS JUICE, but what's here is really good! I was instantly hooked on building the biggest base I could, which is a good thing! Maybe introducing one thing at a time to the player would be better, since it's a bit much from the getgo.

snoboxstudio responds:

Thank you so much for the feedback!! We're really happy that you had fun playing! Definitely going to set out a roadmap today for our plans for this game - an intro would make things easier to understand! Our plans are to eventually have an AI opponent that sends waves of enemies and needs to be defeated to win the game, as well as different modes, difficulties, etc. :D

Super crunchy, super addicting, super fun, BANGING TUNES, highscores and medals - what else could you want???

I will say, I tried playing this game like three times and a loading bar never appeared. I only decided to sit and wait today and it eventually DID start the game? I think people might be discouraged if they can't see the loading bar of the game. It might just be something on my end, idk!!!

Peti responds:

Thank you sm WHOA!!!!

I'm guessing you mean for initializing the game? I've seen this problem with a few others too. Genuinely dunno what causes it tbh, might just be Unity being poo. I dunno if I can add a start-up loading screen with Unity tbh, like with GM and Godot. But I will look into it regardless and if there's a way then I'll defo implement it!!!

holy fuck. i didn't think it would be this good. i really didn't. this is fucking amazing.

This is so much fun! OMG!!!!!

Thanks. heres a tip: if you die there is a chance of encountering a secret Death Minigame. it explains some of the lore

Amazing work! It feels like a legit improvement over the original, yet keeping the exact same spirit - almost as if Tom Fulp made it himself.

I will say, the hitboxes on the enemies and the shootable targets felt a bit iffy, it felt like my gun was jammed half the time despite me spamming with all my might. Also some extra juice of like, making the enemies flash white when they're shot and making pico flash red when he's hit. I AM pretty blind but like, panning my eyes around the screen to see if I'm winning/losing depending on the status of the bars was a bit annoying.

That's just nitpicks though, the overall product is really well done! Great work everyone involved!

Dungeonation responds:

Thanks Step!!! Yeah sorry, that’s flash for ya :(

Coffee was snubbed, but I'll take #2 place. <3 <3

Thanks for putting in all this effort, Dva! Luv ya!

Coffee saw a late surge in votes, but was unable to hold momentum!

Thank you!

The music and the art is amazing! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the game feels a bit floaty/slow? It's also missing some juice. I can't put my finger on it, but like... hitting the level exit and then having nothing happen, just an instant CUT to the next level, it feels a bit unsatisfying. Maybe make all the tofu explode into chunks and have trumpets play or SOMETHING! Haha! I'd say there is a good base game here, it's just missing that extra 20%!

Awesome work, still. I had lots of fun!

YewTM responds:

Thanks for your feedback! There was a level transition originally, however for some reason it broke while compiling and caused a crash. I am currently working on reimplementing it though.
