I can understand the argument of "be original" but like, I think it's important to acknowledge that creativity spent within media that pre-exists is just as important as original content.
Fan animations, collaborations, original characters, etc. are all powerful forms of creativity that often involve people and their friends. Just because it's based around something already exists doesn't mean we should value it less. If something makes you get together with your friends and make cool shit, it should be celebrated.
You criticize people who spend time too much time worshipping the media of others but you could just easily flick the switch and make fun of people who spend all their time making original media and only caring about the makings of their own little world, purposefully ignoring the works of others just because something is popular - that's the kind of stuff that makes you seem like a greasy contrarian.
Just to compare to a real example, when everyone was drawing Peter the Ant and making Peter the Ant animations/games, were they being unoriginal? Or is it still original just because it's not popular enough to be perceived as something where originality can be criticized? And at that point, who even cares what other people make? Everyone was having so much fun on that day!
Very well animated, cute character designs, lovely backgrounds, music was a little too loud compared to the voice acting (alongside the voice acting sounding sort of muffled). I think it's great you use animations to argue a point and the talent here doesn't go unrecognized, but in your pursuit of being original it makes you look like someone who's oppositional and desperate to be seen as someone who is "different."
